Lincecum won second straight Cy Young

San Francisco .- For Tim Lincecum, represented more win fewer games in 2009. The right of the San Francisco Giants won fewer games than last year, but he repeated as winner of the coveted Cy Young Award in the National League, beating the favorite Chris Carpenter and Adam Wainwright of the St. Louis Cardinals in the vote taken by the Baseball Writers Association of America yesterday.
Lincecum is the first pitcher to win the Cy Young Award in consecutive seasons since the left-hander Randy Johnson won four straight to Arizona from 1999-2002.
Lincecum was a decline compared to last year, when he had record of 18-5 and joined the Cy Young winner Mike McCormick in 1967 to become only the second Giant to win the award.
