Andy Murray produced an incredible fightback from two sets down to beat Richard Gasquet, thrilling a packed Centre Court in the gathering gloom yesterday. It was one of Wimbledons great comebacks.The Briton looked down and out when Gasquet served for the match in the third set but he recovered for a superb 5-7 3-6 7-6 (7-3) 6-2 6-4 victory.
The Scot goes on to face Rafael Nadal in Wednesday's quarter-finals. Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal both advanced to the quarter finals.
Both the Williams sisters advanced, but seeded players continued to crash, with Jelena Jankovic and Svetlana Kuznetsova both on ! the scrap-heap.
